Kotak Education Foundation announces 500 scholarships for girl students

Kotak Mahindra Group’s CSR agency is offering Kotak Kanya Scholarship to meritorious girls across India with an award of Rs 1,50,000 per year.
NEW DELHI : Kotak Mahindra Group’s Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) announced 500 merit scholarships under the Kotak Kanya Scholarship programme, aiming to support higher education of meritorious girls from economically weaker sections across India. The number of scholarships has doubled with the foundation entering its 4th year.
The scholarship programme offers financial assistance of Rs 1,50,000 per year, across four to five years. The scholarship also aims to provide holistic education to the scholars through student engagement activities. Around 525 meritorious girls were supported through this programme across 122 top colleges in India in the last three years.
Eligibility Criteria for Kotak Kanya Scholarship
The basic eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:

For all girl applicants across India.

Applicants should have scored 75 per cent or more marks or equivalent CGPA in Class 12 board examinations.

Applicant's annual family income should be below Rs 6,00,000.

Applicants who are in the first year of graduation programmes can also apply.
Kotak Kanya Scholarship Benefits
The benefits of the scholarship under KEF are given below for your reference:

An award of Rs 1,50,000 per year – across four to five years of higher education.

Provides scholars with intensive student-engagement with holistic support.

Mentoring sessions are held to give a glimpse of the professional industry.

Medical and engineering scholars are offered with an additional subscription of Unstop and Marrow for additional skill development in their related fields.
Additionally, KEF launched the Kotak Kanya Scholarship in 2021 across states of India. Its primary objective is to encourage meritorious female students to pursue higher education and achieve their goals by participating in the scholarship programme.
