Download NowThe Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will start accepting online applications for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2026) from tomorrow, January 17. Eligible candidates can apply for KCET 2026 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The KCET 2026 exam will be held on April 23 and 24 in two shifts: the morning shift from 10.30 am to 11.50 am and the afternoon shift from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm. The KCET exam will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The KCET 2026 Kannada language exam for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be held on April 22, only at centres in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru districts.

The KCET 2026 exam for physics and chemistry will be held on April 23, and the exam for mathematics and biology will be held on April 24.
The student’s name on the SSLC marksheet, Aadhaar card, and RD certificates must be the same. If there is any difference, get the Aadhaar card and RD certificates corrected to match the SSLC marksheet, the KEA notice said.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and category 1 categories must obtain a separate income certificate with an RD number.
“Furthermore, SC, ST candidates with an annual income of up to 10 lakh rupees are eligible for a full fee waiver and partial exemption from tuition fees is provided to category 1 candidates with an annual income of up to Rs. 2.5 lakh,” the KEA notice added.
KCET 2026: Documents required
The Karnataka CET Cell has released the list of documents required while filling the KCET 2026 application form .
- SSLC or Class 10 marks card
- Aadhaar card
- Student's photo in JPG format less than 50 KB
- Student's signature in JPG format less than 50 KB
- Student's valid mobile number (with WhatsApp)
- Student’s valid e-mail registration
- RD certificates
- Caste and income certificate
- Religious minority certificate
- NCLC certificate with RD number
- Linguistic minority study certificate (Tulu, Tamil, Telugu, Kodava mother tongue) for medical and dental courses.
The KCET application fee is Rs 500 for General, Rs 250 for SC, ST, Rs 750 for candidates from outside Karnataka, and Rs 5,000 for candidates from abroad.
