Register FREENEW DELHI: Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 will be conducted offline starting from tomorrow. The board exam for Class 10 will be conducted from July 19 to July 21, 2021. It will be an objective-type exam with MCQs and students will get OMR sheets. Over 8 lakh students have registered for the exam.
The pattern and timing of the Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 are different in comparison to last year. Therefore, students were asked to appear for a mock test on July 15 and 17 to understand the pattern.
Karnataka primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar had announced that the SSLC exams will be conducted amid COVID-19 situation with precautionary measures and asked the Karnataka board to provide hall tickets to the students.
The Karnataka HC upheld the state government’s decision to hold the SSLC exam 2021. While all the other states cancelled the exam due to the pandemic situation and declared the results on the basis of internal assessment, the Karnataka board decided to conduct the exams just like last year. Justice B V Nagarathna and Justice Hanchate Sanjeev Kumar said that the board has followed all the guidelines to ensure safe conduction of the exam. The court has also said that no student will be forced to attend the exam.
S V Singre Gowda had filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court and asked to cancel the exam due to the pandemic situation. His petition was dismissed.
Karnataka board had conducted SSLC exams safely in the last year and also during the peak of COVID-19.
