School reopening news: Karnataka government may consider reopening schools in a phased manner and only three days a week.
NEW DELHI: Karnataka government is mulling over the reopening of schools in the state from next week. A final decision on school reopening in Karnataka will be taken on January 29, News18 reported.
Some states including Haryana have decided to reopen schools in February owing to the drop in Covid-19, Omicron cases, while some states have asked students, who have received the first dose of Covid vaccine to attend offline classes when the schools reopen as the board exams 2022 are nearing.

Karnataka government may consider reopening schools in a phased manner and only three days a week, the report said. On January 4, the state government decided to shut schools and pre-university colleges except for Class 10 and 12 students for two weeks due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state.
Karnataka today recorded 48,905 new Covid-19 cases and 39 deaths. The positivity rate dipped to 22.51 per cent from 26.70 per cent on Tuesday.
In other news, the Delhi government said that it will decide on school reopening in the next Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting. Schools and colleges to continue online classes till further orders.
While the Haryana government has decided to resume physical classes for Classes 10, 11, and 12 from February 1, education minister Kanwar Pal.
