Register FREENEW DELHI: Karnataka announces yet another change in the educational system. The cancellation of the SSLC and PUC Supplemental Exams has been notified by the state administration, Times Now reported. As per the new examination pattern, students will now appear for three annual exams. This change has been introduced to reduce the exam-related stress.
Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board, KSEAB has announced to not conduct the supply exams from the current academic year 2023-24.
The ability for students to keep their top results from all three tests is one of the major benefits of the new exam system.
One annual examination and one supplemental examination were held in accordance with the present examination structure. The board has modified the examination structure to give students better opportunities.
The official notice stated that "Supplementary Examination" will now be referred to as "Annual Examination 1, 2, and 3" to give students three chances to improve their overall performance and attitude.
As per the report by Times Now, the Board will conduct these three yearly exams while taking into account the comprehensive instructions provided by the government. The updated system's guidelines will be developed by KSEAB based on uniformity in content and degree of difficulty. The guidelines for the same will be released soon.
Among the marks earned in these three attempts, students will have the option of selecting the subject with the best score.
In order to make up for the lessons missed in the first month, students who enrol in their next academic course late must be given a bridge course, either at PUC or at a degree-granting institution, according to the rules.
