JKSET, LASET 2024 exam postponed; revised dates to be notified soon

JKSET Exam 2024: The exam has been postponed due to the Kashmir Marathon in Srinagar and the popular festival of Karva Chauth, which falls on the same date.

Join Careers360 PremiumNEW DELHI: University of Jammu has postponed the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) 2024 and Ladakh State Eligibility Test (LASET) 2024 due to ‘Kashmir Marathon-2024’ in Srinagar. The institute will soon announce the revised exam date for JKSET 2024 and LASET 2024 exams on the official website at jujkset.in.
“The JKSET Agency, University of Jammu is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to postpone the date of JKSET/LASET Examination – 2024 citing ‘Kashmir Marathon-2024’ in Srinagar and popular Festival/Fast ‘Karva Chauth’ falling on the same date and other reasons,” the official notice read.
The exam was initially scheduled to be held on October 20, 2024. Candidates were allowed to apply for JKSET 2024 and LASET 2024 from June 11 to July 20 without a late fee, with July 25, 2024, set as the deadline for submissions with late fee. The correction window was open from July 29 to 31, 2024.

JKSET 2024: Exam pattern
The examination scheme for JKSET and LASET 2024 will be the same as that prescribed for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will consist of two papers for each subject including paper 1 and paper 2. It is compulsory for candidates to appear in both papers. Candidates who do not appear in Paper I will not be allowed to take Paper II. Candidates can check the exam pattern for both papers in the table below.
