JKSET, LASET 2024 to be held on September 7; Jammu exam centre relocated

Join Careers360 PremiumThe University of Jammu has again announced the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) and Lecturer and Assistant State Eligibility Test (LASET) 2024-25 exam date. As per the latest notification, the JKSET, LASET 2025 exam will now be conducted on September 7, 2025.
The University has asked candidates to reach their allotted examination cities at least one day in advance to avoid any last-minute inconvenience. In case any candidate is unable to reach the allotted city due to unforeseen circumstances, such candidates can appear at the nearest examination city or centre.
“If a candidate is unable to reach the allotted examination city due to the blockade of the road, he/she will be allowed to appear at the nearest examination city/centre, only with prior approval from the JKSET Agency. In such a case, candidates are required to mail their request to the following email: jujksetcell@jammuuniversity.ac.in,” the official notice said.
The University also reiterated that the JKSET, LASET 2024 will be conducted on the scheduled date and warned candidates against relying on rumours or misinformation circulating from unofficial sources.
JKSET, LASET 2024: Old admit cards cancelled
The University further states that the exam centre originally allotted at the old campus, University of Jammu, has been shifted to Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Babiliana, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu.
All previously downloaded admit cards stand cancelled and will not be accepted at the examination centres. Candidates will now have to download the revised admit cards from the official JKSET portal.
The JKSET and LASET 2024 examinations were initially scheduled for October 20, 2024, but were postponed due to the ‘Kashmir Marathon-2024’ in Srinagar. The exams were later rescheduled to May 11, 2025, following a clash with an examination being conducted by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) on the same day, but were later postponed again.
