As per the toppers list, 12 male candidates have obtained a perfect score, with the highest number - three - from Rajasthan. The National Testing Agency conducted the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exams from January 21 to 29. The conducting body will also announce a toppers' list along with the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 results but it will not be the final JEE Main All-India ranks.

Of the total 13,04,653 candidates who appeared in the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam, only 12 boys have scored a perfect 100 percentile (NTA score) in the engineering college entrance test.

JEE Main 2026 Cutoff Percentile
The JEE Main ranks are drawn up on the basis of percentile scores, calculated from raw scores after a process of normalisation. NTA declares percentile scores, calculated to the seventh decimal place. Last year’s JEE Main result for session 1 saw 14 candidates with 100 percentile scores.
A raw score between 109 and 100 can land a candidate just below the 95th percentile, based on previous years’ trends. A rough conversion table is given below.

The national-level entrance exam JEE Mains 2026 is a gateway for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlanning programmes at National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government-funded Technology Institutes (GFTIs).
Students who qualify for the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 will also be able to register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. Only the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers will be able to appear for JEE Advanced 2026 for admission to IITs.
How to download JEE Mains Scorecard 2026?
The steps to download JEE Mains 2026 session 1 results are as follows.
- Visit the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link for “JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result,” available on the homepage.
- Enter required details such as application number, password, or date of birth.
- Click on “Submit”.
- JEE Mains 2026 session 1 scorecard will appear on the screen
- Download and save the PDF for future reference.
However, students who are not satisfied with their JEE Mains 2026 session 1 score can register for the JEE Main session 2 to improve their score. NTA has started accepting applications for the session 2 exams, and the deadline is February 25. The exams will be held from April 2 to 9 in two shifts.
What after JEE Mains 2026 result?
Engineering aspirants who have qualified in the JEE Main 2026 exam and are among the top 2.5 lakh candidates can appear for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. Students who qualify for the JEE Advanced exam can get admission in IIT through counselling conducted by the JoSAA.
Students who have not qualified in JEE Advanced can attend session 2 to improve their scores. Based on JEE Main 2026 scores, students can get admission in BTech courses offered by NIT, IIIT, and Government-funded Technology Institutes.
