The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main result 2026 session 1, in which 12 students scored 100 percentile. Most of the toppers in the JEE Mains exam are from states like Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The JEE Main result 2026 link is activated on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, for candidates to check and download their result for session 1. Candidates can check their admission chances in NITs and IIITs based on JEE Main cut-offs.

As per the JEE Main toppers list 2026 , Rajasthan recorded the highest number of 100 percentile scorers. However, no female candidate scored 100 percentile in this session, although Ashi Grewal from Haryana emerged as the top-scoring female candidate with 99.996 percentile.

The All India Rank 1 (AIR 1) will be announced after the completion of both sessions of NTA JEE Main results 2026.

According to official data, a total of 13,55,293 candidates registered, out of which 13,04,653 appeared for JEE Main paper 1 (BE/BTech), recording an overall attendance of 96.26%.

Male candidates were in the majority, with 8,55,085 male candidates appearing, compared to 4,49,568 female candidates.

JEE Main Result 2026: Qualifying marks, cut-offs

Based on previous trends and this year's performance, the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced 2026 is expected to be 90-92 percentile for the general category, 75-78 percentile for the EWS category, 73-76 percentile for the OBC-NCL category, 50-55 percentile for the SC category, and 40-45 percentile for the ST category.

Candidates who score above the qualifying cutoff marks will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. The final cutoff will be announced after the second session, and an AIR will be prepared based on the best score from both attempts.

What after JEE Mains result 2026?

Candidates who qualify can now prepare for JEE Advanced 2026 , which is the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Others can participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes based on their JEE Main ranks.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their marks in the JEE Main January session can apply for the second attempt in April. The registration for JEE Main session 2 is open until February 25.

The NTA will conduct the JEE Main session 2 exams from April 1 to 9 for both paper 1 (BE, BTech) and paper 2 (BArch, BPlanning). The final rank list will be prepared based on the best score from the two attempts.
