JEE Main 2026: IIT Hyderabad AI cut-off rises for open, SC, ST; CSE sees dip in closing ranks

IIT Hyderabad Cut-offs 2026: JEE Main closing rank for AI rose from 875 to 861, and while for CSE declined from 656 to 673, as compared to last year, under the open category.

According to the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) data, AI closing rank for the open category rose from 875 to 861, while it moved from 251 to 222 for SC and from 89 to 83 for SC students, as compared to the last year’s JEE Main 2026 cut-offs.
BTech CSE closing ranks for the open category slipped from 656 to 673, and for SC students fell from 182 to 198. Meanwhile, the CSE cut-off for the SC category saw an increase by 2 points from 82 to 80 for SC category students.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon issue the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 admit cards for BTech, BArch, and BPlanning papers on its official website,jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to access the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam hall ticket using their application number and password.
IIT Hyderabad BTech Placements 2025
This year, IIT Hyderabad placed 302 students , out of 487 registered candidates, resulting in an overall placement rate of 62.42%. The highest international offer reached Rs 2.5 crore per annum.
Notably, from CSE, 83.05% of registered students were placed, while Mathematics and Computing recorded a placement rate of 77.78%. The average salary packages offered in these programmes were reported to be around Rs 40 lakh per annum.
