The NTA conducted the JEE Mains session 1 exams from January 21 to 29 in two shifts daily. The provisional answer key for the national-level entrance exam was published on February 4. Candidates were allowed to raise objections till February 6 through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question.
The Coaching Federation of India (CFI) and students have identified 17 errors in the provisional JEE Main answer key , and claimed that 10 questions among them should be awarded bonus marks. The remaining questions had discrepancies in numerical values, ambiguity, multiple correct answers, and incorrect options.
As per the JEE final answer key 2026, a total of 9 questions has been dropped.
The NTA will announce the JEE Main result 2026 for session 1 candidates by February 16. Those who are not satisfied with the marks will be able to apply for the JEE Mains session 2 exams , the registration for which will close on February 25.
The best of two scores will be considered for the final rank list, it clarified. Candidates who have already applied only have to pay the fees by logging in using the credentials generated earlier.
As per the schedule, the NTA will conduct the JEE Main session 2 from April 2 to 9.
