According to the managing director and co-founder of Arihant Academy Anil Kapasi, candidates should focus on topics having a higher chance of being asked in the exam. JEE Main 2026 paper will include 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 5 numerical value questions (NVQs) in each section.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the JEE Main 2026 session 1 entrance exam from January 21 to 30. NTA will soon issue the JEE Main city intimation slip 2025 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main 2026 Subject-wise revision
For revision of the JEE Main 2026 syllabus, a quick review of the NCERT examples and summaries, especially for Chmistry can be very helpful.
For Physics topics, candidates should revisit core concepts and formulas and focus on understanding rather than memorizing. Keep revising all commonly asked numerical and conceptual questions.
In the Chemistry subject, candidates should prioritize NCERT, especially inorganic and organic chemistry. Short daily revisions can help retain reactions and trends. In Maths practice, selected problems are used to maintain speed and accuracy. Avoid very lengthy or unfamiliar questions now.

JEE Main 2026: Be careful with negative marking, experts say
According to the co-founder of Arihand Academy, accuracy matters more than the number of attempts. Candidates should begin with questions they are sure about and avoid blind guesswork asleaving a question unattempted is safer than losing marks.
Keep a printed JEE Main 2026 admit card and required documents ready, and plan your route to the exam centre in advance. Removing these small uncertainties helps you stay focused for the BTech entrance exam.
