The testing agency will open the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 registration form from February 1 to 25 for candidates seeking admission to BTech, BArch and BPlanning programmes.
Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be able to download their response sheet and answer key on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in, using their login details once available.
As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer for MCQs.
According to NTA, a total of 13,00,368 candidates appeared for JEE Main 2026, held from January 21 to 24 and on January 28, 2026, marked attendance of 96.26%.

A JEE Main 2026 response sheet will contain the candidate's application number and registration number, the exam date and time, the type of question, the option IDs, the status of each question, and the correct option.

Candidates can download the JEE Main 2026 response sheet and answer key easily by following the steps below once it is released.
- Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
- Click on the “JEE Main response sheet 2026” link.
- Enter the valid login credentials, such as JEE Main application number and password.
- Click on the “JEE Main response sheet and answer key” link.
- Download the pdf file and save it for future reference.
The JEE Main exam is conducted every year twice for admission to engineering and architecture courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other institutes. Top 2.5 lakh JEE qualified candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026 .
