try now testNEW DELHI: The highest Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main closing rank at which the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur closed admission to its BTech programmes last year was 8,765 for computer science and engineering for candidates outside West Bengal. The NIT will admit students to its undergraduate programmes through JEE Main 2025.

While NIT Durgapur may not be the top choice of engineering aspirants and it is easier for students to secure a seat, the competition has been tough for BTech CSE programme, especially for non-Bengalis. The institute witnessed a constant increase in JEE Main cut-offs for the computer science branch in the last three years.
The NIT secured the 44th position in the engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) last year.
JEE Main 2025 will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 for paper 1 BE, BTech. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the JEE Main admit card 2025 three days before the exam on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
What is the highest package in NIT Durgapur?
72.08% of NIT Durgapur students were placed last year with a total of 568 offers. The highest package stood at Rs 51 lakh per annum while the average CTC was recorded at Rs 7.35 LPA.
