JEE Main 2025: NTA paper pattern revised; exam date, registration, syllabus, updates

NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam date will be announced soon. The National Testing Agency will release JEE Main application form 2025 along with registration dates on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main 2025 registration is likely to commence in November.

JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exam is expected to be held in January last week as per a Goa board notice. JEE Main 2025 information bulletin will clarify the dates while providing information on eligibility, exam pattern, marking scheme, syllabus, exam cities, and more.

NTA has notified changes in JEE Main 2025 exam pattern and announced the JEE Main official website. As per JEE Main new pattern, there will not be optional questions in section B anymore. JEE Main question paper comprises two sections having multiple choice questions on physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The entrance test is held for two papers – paper 1 for BE, BTech and paper 2 for BArch, BPlanning.

Last year, the exam was held in two sessions. The duration of the test was three hours for paper 1 and 3.5 hours for paper 2. Students took the exam in two shifts.

JEE Main 2025 scores will be used for admission to the engineering and architecture programmes offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes. Those who qualify JEE Main will also be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.
