As per the information bulletin, the total number of exam cities has dropped from 300 last year to 284 this year. As per the official notification, the NTA has made several adjustments to the list of exam cities. Lakhimpur in Assam, which was included in previous years, is missing from this year’s list of designated cities. In Odisha, the total number of exam cities has dropped from last year's 23 cities to 17 this year.
Tamil Nadu has also seen a drop with three cities, including Coonoor, Nagapattinam, and Tiruppur, being removed from the list and two cities - Nagercoil and Tiruvallur - being added. Andhra Pradesh has undergone a more substantial reduction with 12 exam cities being dropped.
However, Telangana has seen a rise with two additional cities being added to accommodate the candidate population. In Maharashtra, while two cities have failed to figure on the list, four more from the state have been added.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Cities: International locations
The NTA has also decreased the number of international exam cities from 24 to 14 for JEE Main 2025. Exam cities that have been added this year include Bahrain, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Germany, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE - Abu Dhabi, UAE - Sharjah, and Washington DC.
However, several locations have been removed this year, including Sri Lanka, Qatar, UAE (Dubai), Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The registration process for JEE Main 2025 is underway and the last date to apply for the exam is November 22. Eligible candidates can fill out the JEE main 2025 application form through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
