JEE Main 2023 Cut-Off: NIT closing ranks for BTech in Chemical Engineering last year

NEW DELHI: Candidates are admitted to undergraduate engineering programmes at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) on the basis of JEE Main scores and counselling. NITs conduct separate counselling processes through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The last date to register for JEE Main 2023 round two is today.

As many as six rounds of JoSAA counselling were held last year and given below are the Round 6 closing ranks at which the NITs provided admission to BTech in Mechanical Engineering. The closing ranks for reserved seats and seats for women and differently-abled candidates are different.

The following are the JEE Main 2022 cut-offs for gender-neutral open seats after six rounds of JoSAA counselling last year. For admission into bachelor of technology (BTech) in chemical engineering programmes, NIT Tiruchirappalli had the highest closing rank at 15,269 while NIT Agartala had lowest closing rank at 52,619.

50 per cent seats are reserved for candidates from within the state in which the NIT is located for admission to NITs, and the remaining 50 per cent are reserved for those from other states. Generally, in the case of open and unreserved seats, students from outside the state require higher ranks or JEE Main scores.
