NIT Trichy has also been ranked as the top NIT in NIRF Ranking 2021 announced by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Usually, NIT Trichy closes admissions to various BTech programmes at a high cut-off in comparison to other NITs. The cut-off list is prepared on the basis of JEE Main scores and rank list. Last year, the highest cut-off at which NIT Trichy closed admission for the unreserved category was 781 to BTech Computer Science programme for students outside Tamil Nadu.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Mains result 2021 session 4 on September 15. Now, students can apply for admission to NITs. While the NIT Trichy cut-off list 2021 has not been announced yet, students can check last year’s cut-offs for different BTech programmes to get an idea.

Students will have to register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling 2021 for taking admission into the BTech courses at various NITs. The JoSAA counselling 2021 registration will start after the JEE Advanced 2021 exam. JEE advanced 2021 will be held on October 3 for admission to various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

NTA conducted the JEE Main 2021 exam in four phases this year. A total of 44 candidates have scored 100 percentile in JEE Main 2021 while 18 candidates have shared the top rank. Two students from Delhi are in the top rankers, while seven candidates belong to the list of students who secured 100 percentile in JEE Main 2021 this year.
