ITM Institute of Design and Media invites applications for BDes in fashion design

ITM IDM offers merit-based and need-based scholarships, with selection based on academic performance and portfolio evaluation during admission.
NEW DELHI: ITM Institute of Design and Media (ITM IDM) has opened admissions for its Bachelor of Design (BDes) in fashion design for the academic year 2025-2029. The duration of the BDes programme is four years and aims to provide students with industry-relevant skills and practical exposure in fashion design.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the BDes in fashion design programme through the institute's official website. The ITM institute had not yet announced the deadline for the registration process. “The application deadline and other key dates will be updated on the official website of ITM IDM,” the official press release read.
The registration process for the BDes in Fashion Design includes filling out the application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the application fee. After submission, applicants will receive further details on the selection process and admission procedures.
ITM Institute of Design and Media: Eligibility, scholarships
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board are eligible to apply. According to the official press release, ITM IDM offers merit-based and need-based scholarships to deserving candidates. Eligible students can apply for scholarships during the admission process, and the final selection will be based on academic performance and portfolio evaluation.

ITM Institute: Curriculum for BDes in fashion design
The curriculum for BDes in fashion design covers various aspects of fashion design, including textile science, garment construction, fashion illustration, digital design tools, and sustainability in fashion. “With state-of-the-art facilities, expert faculty, and collaborations with industry leaders, the course prepares students for successful careers in fashion, retail, and entrepreneurship,” the official press release read.
Speaking about the programme, the dean and director of IDM, Nisha Chanda, said, “The fashion industry is evolving rapidly, and our B.Des in Fashion Design program is structured to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and industry exposure necessary to excel in this competitive field. Through hands-on learning and real-world projects, we prepare future designers to lead and innovate.”
