India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Over 40,000 vacancies announced; last date to apply February 16

NEW DELHI: The Department of Posts has invited application for India Post GDS Recruitment 2023. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for over 40,000 posts by February 16 on the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The department will be conducting recruitment for 40,889 vacancies. Applicants who submit the India post GDS application form before the deadline will be able to edit from February 17 to 19, 2023.
GDS are holder of a Civil posts but they are outside the regular Civil Services of Union of India and governed by GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020, according to the notification issued.
The minimum age to apply for the posts is 18 years and the upper age limit is 40 years. Age will be determined as on the last date of submission of application as per notification, it said.
India Posts GDS 2023: Eligibility
Applicants will have to have the following qualification to apply for the India posts GDS recruitment 2023.
- Secondary School Examination pass certificate of Class 10 having passed in mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) from a recognized board.
- Applicants should have studied the local language. Name of Local language at least up to secondary standard as compulsory or elective subjects.
- Other qualifications include, knowledge of computer, knowledge of cycling and adequate means of livelihood.
