IIT Kanpur to host annual entrepreneurial event E-Summit’22 from January 13-15

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) will be hosting the 11th edition of its annual Entrepreneurial festival – "E-SUMMIT" – from January 13 to January 15, 2023. The theme for this year’s entrepreneurial festival is “Renaissance and Rise”.
IIT Kanpur’s Entrepreneurship Cell will be holding the event to “discuss ideas that turn issues into opportunities to revolutionize society”, the institute said in a statement. Those interested in participating in the event can now register at ecelliitk.org.
UpStart Nationals, which was hosted by the IIT Kanpur’s E-Cell saw a record registration of over 250 entries across various cities. 42 startups out of those got to pitch their ideas to top-notch investment firms like Indian Angel Network, IvyCamp Ventures, Atal Incubation Centre - CCMB, Chiratae Ventures, Ankur Capital, Orios Venture Partners, IAN Fund, Hyderabad Angels, Blume Ventures and SucSEED Ventures.
“The UpStart Finale will be conducted at IIT Kanpur during E-Summit’22, following mentoring and brainstorming provided to the startups by experienced mentors,” it said.
E-Summit’22 is an initiative to bring together ideators, pitchers, VCs, mentors, and enthusiasts for empowering ideas that have the potential to play a key role in shaping the future of the country, IITK said.

A series of talk sessions, workshops, and competitions, each catering to a different segment of the audience will also be organised by the institute.
“Along with the UpStart business model competition, a Startup Expo will highlight the E-Summit’22, where startups, investors, speakers, organizations, from all over India will participate to reflect on innovative ideas,” IIT Kanpur said.
