IIT Kanpur, GUVI collaborate to offer vernacular technology, business courses

IIT-K: The institute is offering courses in data science, data engineering and other two domains.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur)’s IITK Foundation for Advanced Consulting Education and Training (IFACET) partnered with GUVI to launch technology and business courses in regional languages.
According to the institution, these courses will combine academic knowledge with practical application, making them suitable for students, graduates, and professionals. These courses will be offered in Hindi, English, Telugu, and Tamil, emphasising accessibility and removing language obstacles that may have hindered learning in previous educational methods.
As per IITK, the institute is offering professional certificate courses in four different domains which include Business Intelligence and Digital Marketing, MERN Full Stack Development, Data Science and Data Engineering. All these courses are available in English, Hindi and Tamil language, it said.

Speaking about the tie-up with GUVI, the director of IIT Kanpur, S Ganesh said, “The ability of GUVI to address students in vernacular mediums sets them apart in Ed-tech. Through this collaboration, we look forward to unlocking new opportunities by reaching out to the student diaspora throughout India whose medium of instruction has been in their language.”
While speaking about the collaboration, the founder of GUVI, Arun Prakash M, said “Our collaboration with IIT Kanpur shows our commitment to delivering high-quality education nationwide. We create programs that seamlessly connect academic knowledge with industry requirements, empowering individuals to succeed in today's competitive workforce.”
