IIT Delhi professor Manmohan Prasad Gupta to be IIM Lucknow's director
At present, professor Archana Shukla is the director-in-charge of IIM Lucknow. She took charge of the office on April 4, 2024.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has announced that Manmohan Prasad Gupta, who is currently serving as a professor at the Indian Institute of Delhi (IIT), will be the new director of the management institute.
At present, professor Archana Shukla is the director-in-charge of IIM Lucknow. She took charge of the office of the director on April 4, 2024.
Although there has not been any official announcement yet, IIM Lucknow’s board of governors has approved the appointment of Professor Gupta, as per the report by TOI.
Professor Gupta is an alumni of IIT Delhi where he pursued MTech and PhD courses. He began his academic career in 1990 at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) and moved to IIT Delhi in 1997.
He joined IIT Delhi in 2002 as an assistant professor and later, became professor of the technology institute in 2008. Gupta has also managed administrative roles at IIT Jodhpur as head of the school of management and entrepreneurship, as head of the department management studies, and professor-in-charge at IIT Delhi.
Professor Shukla, on the other hand, has a specialisation in human resource management at IIM Lucknow and more than three decades of teaching and research experience. She received a PhD degree in psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
