IIT Delhi launches 3 online PG diploma courses for students, professionals

IIT Delhi: The new online PG diplomas include healthcare product development and management, electric vehicle (EV) technology, and advanced communication engineering with quantum and AI integration programmes.
Candidates can get access to all the details about JEE Advanced including eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern, sample papers, cutoff, counselling, seat allotment etc.
Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched three online postgraduate (PG) diploma programmes. The one-year courses include PG diploma in healthcare product development and management, PG diploma in electric vehicle (EV) technology, and PG diploma in advanced communication engineering with quantum and AI integration, designed for students and professionals.
According to the official IIT Delhi statement, the online new diploma programme sessions will be held by IIT Delhi’s faculty in collaboration with leading industry experts. The PG diploma holders will get alumni status from IIT Delhi, which enhances long-term academic association and access to learning resources.
While speaking about the launch of the online PG diploma programmes the IIT Delhi director Rangan Banerjee said, "At IIT Delhi, we remain committed to expanding access to world-class education and driving innovation across emerging fields. The launch of our online post graduate diploma programmes marks a significant step in this direction. These programmes are designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and interdisciplinary insights required to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time."

A few details regarding the programmes and their curriculum are mentioned below.
PG diploma in healthcare product development and management
The 12-month programme is offered by the centre for biomedical engineering (CBME), IIT Delhi. The course is designed to equip professionals with expertise and multidisciplinary capabilities required to design, develop, and bring market-transforming healthcare solutions. The programme is open to UG, PG students having a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the related field.
“There will be an optional two-day campus immersion to enrich networking and academic exchange,” the official IIT Delhi statement said.
PG diploma in electric vehicle (EV) technology
The course is designed by centre for automotive research and tribology (CART) at IIT Delhi for engineers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and professionals to lead India's transition towards a sustainable and electric mobility future. It includes case studies, industry insights from IIT Delhi faculty, work on advanced industry-relevant research problems, etc.
PG diploma in advanced communication engineering with quantum and AI integration
The programme is open to graduates from disciplines such as electronics and communication engineering (ECE), electrical engineering (EE), data science , mathematics, etc.
“Learners can expect to graduate with capabilities tailored to critical roles, including quantum communication engineers, AI and ML specialists in telecom, 5G or 6G network engineers and cybersecurity experts specialising in quantum-safe infrastructures,” the official IIT Delhi statement adds.
