IIT Delhi, EXL launch action research project, workshop to empower over 500 women entrepreneurs
The EXL’s CSR programme has funded the research project and it will be implemented across six states: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan, the IIT Delhi said.

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched an action research project in collaboration with EXL, a data analytics and solutions company. The objective of the project is to empower over 500 women entrepreneurs of Self-Helf Groups (SHG) across north India, as per the official statement.
As part of the research project, the IIT Delhi and EXL have also designed a “comprehensive handbook for micro-level women entrepreneurs. The handbook was launched by Shri Mekala Chaitanya Prasad, IAS, mission director DSULM; Satyajit Gupta, VP-2, assistant general counsel, head of India Legal, global head of CSR, EXL; Muskan Jain, assistant VP, Global CSR Lead, EXL; Sheelkant Sharma, Delhi SULM; Seema Sharma, professor, IIT Delhi, and Gourav Dwivedi, professor, IIT Delhi.
Satyajit Gupta, said: "By empowering women with essential financial and digital skills, we are not only fostering economic independence but also contributing to the growth of India's entrepreneurial ecosystem."

IIT Delhi, EXL conduct three-day workshop
A three-day workshop was also conducted at the engineering institute where over 100 women entrepreneurs took part. The workshop served participants with practical skills and knowledge to “navigate the digital economy”.
It was organised by the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) and National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) officers at state and district levels, and the SHG members.
“The workshop emphasizes a hands-on approach, featuring product showcases and interactive sessions that enable participants to translate theoretical learning into practical business applications,” the institute added.
