IIT Bombay Placements 2022: Over 1,500 offers recorded; 25 offers over Rs 1 crore

IIT Bombay placements record over 1,500 offers out of which 1,224 offers have been accepted. 63 international offers accepted by students.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) has recorded over 1,500 offers as of day nine of campus placements 2022. A total of 1,224 students, including pre-placement offers (PPOs) have accepted their offers.
In the 2022-23 IIT Bombay placement season, a total of 71 international companies offered jobs to students in countries such as USA, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Netherlands, Singapore. Out of the 71 offers, 63 were accepted by students. A total of 25 students accepted job offers with a package over Rs 1 crore per annum.

This year, IIT Bombay received registrations from over 400 companies, both domestic and international offering over 1,100 unique job profiles. The phase one of IIT Bombay placements 2022 will continue will December 15, 2022. According to official data, this season of placements witnesses an increase in hires from private equity firms.
The top recruiters this year include American Express, TSMC, Honda Japan, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Morgan Stanley, Sprinklr and conglomerates such as Reliance, Adani and Tata. On the other hand, top private equity firms offering jobs were GIC Singapore, Bain Capital and Elevation Capital.
The Institution slotted companies to ensure a mix of various sectors on each day to reduce the taxing nature of placements on students. All the students attended the interviews from one venue even though the companies recruit them via interactions in-person, remotely or using a hybrid mode.
