IIT Bombay introduces new leadership with AI online course

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will begin the four-month online courses in January 2026. The programme fee is Rs 2 lakh, including GST.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has launched leadership with AI courses by the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), with Great Learning as the edtech partner. The 4-month online certificate course is scheduled to start in January 2026.
Interested candidates can apply for the leadership with AI programme on the official website, mygreatlearning.com. As per the official website, the programme fee is Rs 2 lakh, including GST. After the completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded a certificate from IIT Bombay.
Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA, plus work experience of 3 years, are eligible to register in this course.
“This course in Leadership with AI is ideal for mid to senior professionals, business leaders and entrepreneurs looking to develop AI-driven strategies and lead transformation within their organisations,” the official IIT Bombay press release said.

IIT Bombay’s new certificate programme
The IIT Bombay new programme is designed and delivered by IIT Bombay faculty. The course allows participants to envision, lead and scale AI initiatives effectively. The programme begins with core modules on AI-ready leadership, Generative AI and agents, AI-led business strategy and building a responsible AI-first organisation.
According to the official IIT Bombay press release, in the final module, participants choose an industry-specific specialisation and go through sector-relevant case studies, gaining practical insights relevant to their field. The approach allows a solid foundation in AI and leadership while offering focused, industry-aligned learning.
