IISc Bangalore invites applications for BTech in Mathematics and Computing

Eligible students can apply for BTech in Mathematics and Computing at iisc.ac.in before August 30, 2022.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is inviting applications for its new engineering programme - BTech in Mathematics and Computing. Interested and eligible students can apply on the official website – iisc.ac.in. The last date to apply for the BTech programme is August 30, 2022.
The BTech programme contains 42 seats. The application fees for General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category students is Rs 800. Whereas, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) students will have to pay an application fee of Rs 400.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must have cleared class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any subject other than the above four.
Selection procedure
Candidates will be selected based on valid rank in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced National Entrance Exam 2022
How to apply
- Visit the official website of IISc Bangalore – iisc.ac.in
- Click on the tab ‘Admissions’ available on the homepage
- Under the admissions tab, click on ‘Online applications’
- Candidates will be redirected to another page
- Now, click on Apply to Under-Graduate (UG) B.Tech. Programme - BTech in Mathematics and Computing
- Register and login with email ID and password
- Fill the application form, upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee
- Save the application form for future reference
The core of the BTech programme spread over four semesters includes six courses each in Mathematics and Computing areas apart from courses in the sciences, humanities, and other engineering disciplines. Students can then choose softcore credits from a large pool of courses in Mathematics and Computing areas apart from many exciting electives from across the institute.
