IIMC counselling 2025 starts on May 28; admission through CUET PG scores

IIMC Admission 2025 : The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) will start the counselling process for MA and five PG diploma programmes from tomorrow, May 28. Students having valid Common University Entrance Test - Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025 scores can apply for online counselling on the official website, iimc.admissions.nic.in. The last date for counselling registration is June 8.
According to the official IIMC statement, candidates having CUET-PG 2025 scores in economics and commerce are eligible to apply for a new PG diploma programme in corporate communication and brand management at IIMC Dhenkanal . However, candidates willing to take admission to PG diploma programmes in English and Hindi journalism, advertising and public relations, radio and television journalism having CUET PG scores in mass communication and journalism are eligible to apply.
Candidates belonging to general category have to pay Rs 1,500, while other category candidates have to pay Rs 1,000 as counselling registration fee.
According to Rakesh Goswami in charge of IIMC admissions said admission to other courses other than mass communication and journalism is also open. He adds: “For the new program called MA in new media communications, candidates who have a CUET PG score in data science, artificial intelligence, cyber security etc, (MTQP 04), computer science and information technology (SCQP 09) and applied arts (HUQP 03) are also eligible to apply apart from those who have a CUET PG score in mass communication and journalism.”

IIMC counselling 2025
Candidates are advised to read instructions and fill in their preferences for the programmes and campuses while filling out the registration form. After the form is submitted, no requests for change will be entertained. After the programme selection is final, candidates are required to make a payment of Rs 20,000 as a tuition fee to confirm their seats. The final payment has to be paid before the last date to confirm the admission.
Additionally, there’s no age restriction for admission to MA courses, while for diploma programmes, candidates should read the instructions before registering. It is mandatory for candidates to submit high school certificates and a graduation marksheet for verification. Candidates belonging to the reserved category who are not able to submit a caste certificate can submit an undertaking during the admission process and submit it before the deadline.
The admission process for the MA in media business studies and the MA in strategic communication will begin soon. For other details related to the admission process, candidates are advised to visit the IIMC official website, iimc.gov.in.
