Who can apply and how selection works
Candidates applying for the programme must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks, with relaxations for reserved categories, and a minimum of three years of full-time work experience in a professional or managerial role.
Selection is based on a combination of entrance test scores and a personal interview. Applicants with valid CAT, GRE, or GMAT scores may be exempt from the institute’s entrance test (EMAT).
IIMV EMBA: Interactive learning with campus exposure
The EMBA is delivered through live online classes using an interactive platform, making it easier for professionals to balance work and study. In addition, participants attend two short campus immersion modules at IIM Visakhapatnam, which allow for in-person learning and peer interaction.
On successful completion, participants receive an executive MBA degree along with alumni status from the institute. So far, the programme has seen enrolments from a diverse mix of sectors such as IT, banking, healthcare, and manufacturing.
EMBA Curriculum: Core management, practical insights
The course covers a wide range of subjects including marketing, finance, economics, human resources, operations, and strategy. It also introduces participants to entrepreneurship and data-led decision-making, helping them approach business challenges from multiple perspectives.
Spanning two years and six terms, the programme includes 740 hours of learning. In the second year, participants can choose electives, study business ethics and project management, and complete a capstone project that connects classroom learning with real-world application.
