The women-led startups that qualify for the IIM Udaipur course will receive a cash prize of up to ₹50,000, training, mentoring and technical guidance, claims the institute. These startups will also be introduced to corporate leaders and industry experts, and they will get networking opportunities with potential investors. The selected startups will also receive ongoing advisory support for the next 12 months.
Only about 24 percent of women hold senior leadership positions in technology, says the data by IDC. The IIM Udaipur Women-in-tech accelerator programme intends to support gender diversity in the workplace and hence add value to business, economy, and society.
