IIM Raipur MBA Admissions 2025: 36 students having valid CAT score, graduation degree will be selected. Chhattisgarh Govt will fund course, offer Rs 50,000 monthly stipend.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has introduced a two-year MBA in Public Policy and Governance, offered under the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF), a flagship initiative by the Chhattisgarh government. A total of 36 students will be selected for the MBA programme. Aspirants can apply for IIM Raipur MBA by May 11.
To be eligible, applicants must be domiciled in Chhattisgarh, have a valid CAT score from 2022, 2023, or 2024, and possess a graduation degree with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) or an equivalent CGPA.
The MBA programme is designed to create future leaders in public policy by amalgamating academic excellence with practical governance experience. The state government will fully sponsor the programme by covering the entire tuition fee for enrolled students. It will also provide a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 to support the students’ academic pursuits, studies, along with boarding and lodging during academic sessions at IIM Raipur.

Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, director, IIM Raipur , stated, “At IIM Raipur, we believe that effective public policy is the backbone of inclusive development. Through this pioneering MBA in Public Policy and Governance, offered under the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship, we aim to equip aspiring leaders with the analytical skills, ethical grounding, and real-world experience needed to navigate complex governance challenges.”

The MBA program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes classroom sessions at IIM Raipur’s state-of-the-art campus and hands-on training with the Chhattisgarh government, upskilling students in policy analysis, governance frameworks, leadership, and decision-making to tackle contemporary public administration challenges.
“The programme prepares graduates for impactful careers in government, public sector enterprises, and policy think tanks, enabling them to drive meaningful change in Chhattisgarh and beyond,” the institute said.
Upon successful completion of the MBA degree, postgraduates may avail various opportunities within the government departments, as well as in private or public sector organizations, consultancy firms, and more.
