IIM Calcutta welcomes 15th batch of MBAEx students in virtual mode

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, has recently welcomed the 15th batch of MBA for executives programme in virtual mode to ensure the safety of all stakeholders, keeping the pandemic mind. Eighty students have enrolled for the programme, the highest number of enrollment in the last 15 years. Last year, 62 students registered for the MBAEx programme. The current batch of the MBAEx programme consists of 80 experienced professionals (including 13 female students).

This diverse cohort of MBAEx-15 comprises chartered accountants, architects, doctors, engineers, defence personnel, start-up enthusiasts, consultants, economy graduates coming from varied sectors like pharma, aerospace, telecom, energy, e-commerce, real estate, education, supply chain, consulting, banking, oil, automobile, and gas, etc.

Inauguration ceremony

The online inaugural ceremony was attended by Subir Bhattacharya, director-in-charge; Prashant Mishra, dean-new initiatives and external relations; Bodhibrata Nag, dean-academics; Manju Jaiswal, chairperson-MBAEx; Preetam Basu, chairperson (Designate) - placement; Abhishek Goel, chairperson-placement; Alok Chandra-CAO and other faculty members and alumni.

Congratulating the students, Subir Bhattacharya, director-in-charge, said, "It gives me immense pleasure to share with you the rich legacy of our institute. About the programme

IIM Calcutta's MBAEx programme is a one-year full-time residential programme for executives with more than five years of professional experience. The programme uniquely integrates multi-dimensional business concepts and technical skills with the right emotional intelligence balance to facilitate practical application in the real world. It aims to provide a better platform to maximize partners ’current skills as they try to defend themselves to scale their leadership roles or expand their business venture.
