IIM Amritsar launched its first batch of the two-year Executive MBA (EMBA) programme on Saturday, June 5. The inauguration started with a virtual session.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has launched its two-year Executive MBA programme in a non-residential hybrid mode with an intake of 40 working professionals. The first batch of EMBA was inaugurated in the presence of Suresh Kumar, chief principal secretary to the Punjab Chief Minister; Sanjay Gupta, chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Amritsar and Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, director of IIM Amritsar.
The first batch of the EMBA comprises professionals with experience ranging from 3-20 plus years and come from prominent organizations in various sectors like BFSI, IT, Consulting, Hospitality, Retailing, Media and Entertainment, etc.
“Our institution will ensure that business leaders as well as accomplished alumni would endow the executives with expertise that would substantively benefit their current organisations,” said Nagarajan Ramamoorthy. He further added that the selection criteria for these executives was rigorous as it factored in holistic accomplishments from academics and work life.
