IGNOU January 2025 re-registration deadline further extended till March 15 for ODL, online programmes

IGNOU January 2025 Admissions: Eligible students can apply for government of India scholarships on the National Scholarship portal after confirmation of admission. Apply online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes again for January 2025 session. Eligible candidates can now fill out the IGNOU January 2025 application form for the ODL and online programmes till March 15.
“Last date for Jan, 2025 Fresh Admission extended till 15th March, 2025 in respect of all notified programmes offered in ODL and Online mode (except for Certificate programmes). The last date of Jan, 2025 Re-registration has also been extended till 15th March, 2025,” IGNOU posted on official X account.
Initially, the deadline for the IGNOU January 2025 re-registration was January 31, which was later extended to February 28 . The IGNOU has hosted the application link on the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The registration portal is open for both Indian and International students of the University.
As per the IGNOU’s official registration portal, candidates must create their Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID before starting the application process, as it is mandatory for submission. Eligible students can apply for government of India scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal after confirmation of admission.
IGNOU January 2025: Documents required for re-registration
Candidates can check the list of documents required during the IGNOU January 2025 re-registration proecess:
- Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned copy of the category certificate, if belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC), with a file size of less than 200 KB.
