The ICSE Class 10 mathematics paper will consist of two sections - a compulsory short answer and option-based long answer questions. Teachers and subject experts generally advise students to manage time wisely, read questions carefully, and begin with sections they know best.
The question paper will hold 80 marks, while 20 marks will be awarded to students on the basis of internal assessment or project.
According to Ms. Sanusree Sarkhel, Headmistress, St. Augustine’s Day School, Shyamnagar, the ICSE Class 10 mathematics paper 2026 was a fine balance between easy and moderate questions. Section A proved somewhat tricky, while Section B was notably easier, though it required a solid grasp of graphs and data analysis.
The paper demanded analytical thinking, practical application, direct problem-solving, and conceptual clarity to select the most suitable question set, as choosing poorly could unnecessarily extend the paper's length. The examination upheld an excellent standard.
