Haryana: All government, private schools closed tomorrow due to CET exam

Haryana CET 2022: Haryana government declares holiday for all government and private schools in all 22 districts of the state.
NEW DELHI: The Haryana government has declared holiday for all government and private schools tomorrow as the Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on November 5.
“Due to the CET examination, on November 5, 2022 (Saturday), there will be a holiday in all government and private schools in all 22 districts of the state. Haryana Government has issued orders in this regard,” the Directorate School Education’s official notice read.
11,36,894 lakh candidates had registered for the CET exams, of which 10.78 lakh candidates are eligible to appear in Haryana CET 2022 exam. As per the schedule, the exam will be held on November 5 and 6 in 1,200 examination centres in 17 of the 22 districts of the state including one in the union territory and state capital Chandigarh.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) chairman Bhopal Singh told PTI, “This time the commission decided that the examination centres of the candidates should not be more than a 100 km radius.”
Haryana CET 2022 will be held in two shifts- shift 1 begins from 10 to 11.45 am and shift 2 from 3 to 4.45 PM.
The Haryana Roadways also announced to provide free pick-and-drop facility to candidates appearing for the Haryana CET examination. One family member travelling with women candidates can also avail this free travel facility provided they show their identity documents, it said.
