Haryana government changes school timings; half-day in all for students

Haryana: Private, public schools will have half-days for students but full days for teachers.
NEW DELHI: Private and public schools in Haryana will have only half-days for students from December 20. The Haryana government has changed school timings and the Directorate of School Education of Haryana has issued new guidelines.
This schedule for schools in Haryana will be enforced from December 20 onwards until further orders are issued. While students have half-days, teachers will work full days.
“The school timing for Haryana school students will be from 10 am to 2 pm. But teachers, on the other hand, should be present at the schools from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm,” says a circular from the directorate of school education.

Haryana Schools: Online classes also continue
Attendance will not be compulsory for students during this period. Students will not be pressured to attend the offline classes. Students who want to continue studying online will be allowed to do so.

The notification by the directorate of school education has instructed the parents of those students who don't want to attend classes offline, to communicate their decision to the schools in writing. Distribution of dry rations in lieu of mid-day meals will continue.
