Gujarat Board GSEB SSC and HSC exams postponed amid COVID-19 crisis

Amid the rise in the COVID-19 cases, Gujarat government has decided to postpone the GSEB Gujarat Board SSC and HSC board exams and promote Classes 1 to 9 and 11 students.

Download EBookNEW DELHI : Gujarat government has decided to postpone the GSEB Class 10 and 12 exams. Moreover, the government announced that students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 will be promoted to the next class. Earlier, Gujarat Board Class 10 and 12 examinations were scheduled to begin on May 10 and May 25, 2021, respectively.
"In the wake of COVID19 pandemic, Gujarat Govt decides to postpone Class 10 and 12 board examinations, scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25 and mass promotion for students of Class 1 to 9 and 11. New dates to be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15, 2021," tweeted Gujarat CMO.

The decision is taken due to the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in the nation. Several other states like Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra also decided to postpone the board exams.
