The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee conducted the GATE 2025 exam in two shifts, with each session lasting for a total duration of three hours. The Mechanical Engineering (ME), Petroleum Engineering (PE), and Architecture and Planning (AR) exams will be conducted in shift 1, whereas the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper will be held in shift 2.
Candidates appearing for the exam today must carry their GATE 2025 admit card along with a valid government ID such as Aadhaar-UID (preferred), Aadhaar Virtual ID, Government-issued ID, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License.
The GATE 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16. It is held annually for candidates seeking admission to master's programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Additionally, GATE 2025 scores will be used by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment purposes.
The GATE 2025 exam held on February 1 was of moderate difficulty level. According to students' reviews and coaching experts, the GATE 2025 February 1 shift 1 was overall moderate with some questions being asked from the previous year's papers.
