Download NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, is scheduled to conduct the GATE CS 2021 exam in two papers (CS-1 and CS-2) as a computer-based test (CBT) on February 13 and 14. Also, along with GATE 2021 Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) paper, IIT Bombay will conduct other subject-papers includes Mathematics (MA), Biotechnology (BT), Chemical Engineering (CH), Textile Engineering and Fibre Science (TF), Engineering Sciences (XE) and Life Sciences (XL).
GATE 2021 shift 1 will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Forenoon) and 2nd shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. The GATE 2021 exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates either to offer admission into ME/MTech at the IITs, IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs or to recruit them in PSUs recruitment which provides fellowship or make them eligible for admission across the border. GATE 2021 Exam Guidelines:

To read the necessary guidelines/ instructions, candidates will be provided to log in 20 minutes before the actual GATE 2021 exam starts. However, they will not be permitted to start answering till the stipulated time.

They must utilize the time to understand the given instructions.

It is compulsory for all candidates to write their name and registration number on the scribble pad before they start using it.

Do not waste a lot of time on one problem. Time is important, so use it wisely and well.

Don’t lose precious marks on a fluke. So, avoid answering questions that you don’t know.
GATE 2021: Exam Pattern

GATE 2021 exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test in online mode only.

The entrance exam will be conducted for three hours.

All of the questions that will be asked in the exam will be related to the GATE 2011 syllabus.

As per the GATE exam pattern 2021, there will be two types of questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT).

In the case of MCQs, candidates will have to choose one answer from the four options provided.

For NAT questions, they will have to enter the correct answer through the virtual keyboard.

Negative marking: 1/3rd mark will be reduced for one mark question. 2/3rd mark will be reduced for two marks questions.
