GATE COAP 2026 dates out for MTech admission, PSU recruitment; round 1 from May 11

GATE COAP 2026: Candidates can access the registration form through the official website, coap2026.iitr.ac.in
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced the schedule for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP 2026) for admission to MTech programmes and PSU recruitment through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026). The registration for COAP 2026 will begin soon on coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026.
The IIT Guwahati declared the GATE result 2026 on March 19. As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate should have a valid GATE score (qualified in GATE 2026, 2025 or 2024).
For MTech admission or PSU jobs, candidates will have to apply separately to each institute or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

The participating institutes include IISc Bengaluru, IIT BHU, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Dharwad, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Goa, IIT Indore, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Jammu, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Bhilai, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Mandi, IIT Palakkad, IIT Patna, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar and IIT Tirupati.

The options to accept, freeze, reject, and wait will be available in all GATE COAP rounds. The institute issued the following instructions for candidates regarding the COAP 2026 process:
- A candidate cannot choose “Retain and Wait” more than two times for the same institute and programme.
- In rounds 1 to 4, the candidate can choose “Accept and Freeze,” “Retain and Wait,” or “Reject.”
- If a candidate does not choose any option in a round, their offer will be automatically rejected.
- In round 5, you can only choose “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject.”
- Rounds 6 to 10 are also final rounds, where only “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject” options are available.
- Round 10 will be held only if some IITs continue the process after round 9.
