GATE COAP 2025 dates out for MTech admissions, PSU recruitment

Download NowNEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has announced the schedule for Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2025 for admission to MTech programmes and PSU recruitment through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. The registration for COAP 2025 will begin soon on gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee declared the GATE result 2025 on March 19.
As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate should have a valid GATE score (qualified exam in 2025 or the last two sessions).
For MTech admissions in any of the participating institutes or applying for a job in any participating Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), every candidate has to apply separately to the institute or PSU.
The participating institutes include IISc, IIT Bhilai, IIT Bhubaneshwar, IIT BHU, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Dharwad, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Goa, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Jammu, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Mandi, IIT Palakkad, IIT Patna, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar and IIT Tirupati.

The institute issued the following instructions for candidates regarding the COAP process:
- No “Retain and Wait” available for the third time if a candidate selected “Retain and Wait” on the same (same institute and same programme) offer twice in two previous rounds.
- In rounds 1 to 4, a candidate may choose among “Accept and Freeze”, “Retain and Wait”, or “Reject” but “Retain and Wait” cannot be selected more than twice for the same offer.
- “Retain and Wait” must be chosen in each eligible round. If no action is taken in a round, all offers in that round are automatically considered “Rejected.”
- Round 5 is a decisive round, where you can only choose between “Accept and Freeze” and “Reject”.
- Round 10 is for participating IITs that choose to continue beyond Round 9
- Rounds 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 are treated as independent decisive rounds, where candidates only have “Accept and Freeze” or “Reject” options.
