Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026) candidates can now download the admit card, as IIT Guwahati made it available today, January 13. Applicants seeking admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes can access the hall ticket through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) at gate2026.iitg.ac.in using their login credentials.

As per the schedule, GATE 2026 will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, with two sessions each day: the first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Candidates will have to carry the GATE 2026 admit card and a valid government ID to the examination centre. The admit card will include the personal details, GATE exam date 2026, and exam day instructions.
As per the GATE 2026 exam pattern , the exam will be held for 30 test papers, including both full-length and sectional papers. IIT Guwahati has added a new sectional paper, Energy Science (XE-1), under the Engineering Sciences (XE) category.
How to download GATE 2026 admit card?
The steps to download the GATE admit card 2026 are given below.
- Visit the official GATE 2026 portal: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
- Click on the “GATE 2026 Admit Card” link.
- Log in using your enrolment ID and password.
- Verify the displayed details, including name, paper, and exam centre.
- Download and save the admit card as a PDF.
- Take a printout of the admit card to carry to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID.
The GATE entrance exam is held for admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes at IITs, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), and National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
