Download NowNEW DELHI: The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Training Schools have opened the GATE score uploading facility for the Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) and DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme (DGFS) selection process. The GATE 2025 score uploading deadline is March 24.
Eligible candidates can now upload their GATE 2023 and GATE 2024 marks, while GATE 2025 scores can be uploaded after March 19, following the result declaration. Registered candidates are required to login using their credentials such as user ID, password to access the score uploading window. The BARC recruitment official website is barcocesexam.in.
As per the official schedule, the list of shortlisted candidates for interviews will be displayed in the first week of April 2025. Shortlisted candidates can select their interview slots between April 17 and April 24, 2025. The interviews for BARC recruitment through GATE 2025 will be conducted from May 19 to June 13.
GATE 2025 BARC Recruitment: Stipend
During training, OCES Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) and DGFS Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 74,000. OCES TSOs will also be granted a one-time book allowance of Rs 30,000. DGFS Fellows will have their tuition fees covered for the MTech program, along with a contingency grant of Rs 60,000 per annum for two years.
Additional funding of up to Rs 4,00,000 will be provided for MTech project-related expenses under the BRNS Fast Track Project scheme. Accommodation in DAE or DGFS institute hostels is mandatory during the training period, as per the BARC official notification 2025.
BARC Recruitment 2025: Selection process
The selection for BARC recruitment involves two-step process:
- Screening: Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in either the online screening exam or their GATE scores (2023, 2024, or 2025).
- Selection Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, which will be conducted in Mumbai for all disciplines except geology, which will be held in Hyderabad.
Candidates could also select both screening channels to maximize their chances of selection. As per the official brochure, those with a CGPA of 7.5 or above from UM-DAE CEBS and NISER Bhubaneswar (2023-24 or 2024-25 academic years) will be directly shortlisted for interviews if they meet all other eligibility criteria.
BARC Recruitment Through GATE 2025: Pay scale
Selected candidates will be appointed as scientific officers in group A post under the level 10 ( Rs 56,100 basic pay) of the 7th CPC pay matrix. OCES TSOs will receive two to three increments, while DGFS Fellows will receive three to four increments based on performance. The total monthly emoluments, including various allowances, will be around Rs 1,34,000 for postings in Mumbai.
Additional benefits include Leave Travel Concession (LTC) by air, children's education allowance, professional update allowance, and a Performance-Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS).
