Download NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has concluded the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 February 16 shift 2 at 5:30 pm. The GATE exam 2025 was held for a duration of three hours in two shifts – forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. GATE 2025 shift 1 paper analysis, memory-based questions, difficulty level will be available soon.
Candidates are required to carry the GATE admit card 2025 downloaded from the website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. After IIT Roorkee changed the GATE 2025 exam centres from Prayagraj to Lucknow, new admit cards were issued for the examinees.
As per the GATE 2025 exam pattern, the question paper will comprise two sections – general aptitude and candidate’s selected subject. Each section will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
GATE 2025 marking scheme
- There will be negative marking for a wrong answer in MCQs.
- One-third mark will be deducted for a wrong answer in 1-mark MCQ.
- For a 2-mark MCQ, two-third marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ or NAT questions.
- There is no partial marking in MSQ.
