NEW DELHI
: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is going to conduct the GATE exam 2022 from tomorrow i.e February 5. The examination will be conducted online mode at 202 exam centres across India. The GATE 2022 exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 p.m.

There will be a total of 29 subjects in the GATE 2022 exam. Computer Science and Information Technology and Biomedical Engineering exam will be conducted in the first shift on February 5, while Electrical Engineering and Mathematics exam will be conducted in the second shift later that day.

GATE 2022 documents required
Candidates appearing for the GATE 2022 exam must carry one valid identity proof along with the GATE admit card 2022 . It is further advisable to carry a transparent water bottle and a pocket-size sanitiser to follow covid-19 protocols.
Candidates must avoid carrying any metal items such as ornaments and coins. Carrying any electronic gadget, wallet to the examination hall is prohibited. Any piece of paper may get considered deceitful.
GATE 2022: Last-minute checklist

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre one hour before the GATE 2022 exam commencement.

Recheck to carry the GATE 2022 admit card and valid identity proof while leaving for the examination centre.

In any case, a candidate will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall, half an hour before the exam commencement. Hence, make sure to reach before the deadline.

There will be an on-screen calculator for numerical calculations. thus, candidates can skip carrying calculators for the GATE exam 2022.

Rough sheets will be allotted to every candidate by the invigilators. Make sure to submit the rough sheet back after the exam gets over.

Candidates are advised to keep safe the GATE 2022 admit card for future references.
