NEET PG counselling was postponed on August 29. The MCC has not set fresh dates. FORDA warned of protest in case of further delay in counselling process.
NEW DELHI: The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) India has written to the union health minister, Mansukh Mandaviya requesting to take measures to expedite the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2022 counselling process. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) postponed NEET PG 2022 on August 29, just a few days before the start of the process.
"NEET PG 2022 was conducted on May 21 under the heavy clouds of uncertainties as a large number of aspirants demanded postponement of the exam due to many known valid facts. But the respected authorities dismissed all sought of pleas with reasoning to bring back normalcy in medical education," the FORDA stated in its letter to the health minister

Though the NEET PG 2022 result was declared within a short span of 10 days after the exam, the NEET PG counselling 2022 was put on an indefinite halt. The MCC did not issue any official notification regarding the counselling process until August 10 when it released the tentative NEET counselling schedule, the FORDA claimed.
Soon after, the MCC on August 29 informed candidates about the NEET PG counselling postponement stating the National Medical Commission (NMC) is in the process of issuing LOPs for the current academic year.

“We fail to understand the reasons for such procedural delays and we stand highly disappointed with this unceremonious attitude of NMC leading to distress among aspirants and junior doctors.
The junior doctors also said that the academic session has already been delayed by four to five months and that any further delay will burden medical graduates and the nation's health system.
The resident doctors association warned to protest in case of further delay in the NEET PG 2022 counselling process.
