DU Admission 2021: DU receives more than 1.18 lakh applications under 1st, 2nd cut-off

Download NowNEW DELHI: Delhi University received around 1,18,878 applications for admissions against first and second cut-off lists to its various undergraduate courses. As per the data shared by the University, the colleges approved over ten thousand applications till 6.51 pm today and as many as 48,582 candidates secured the admission by completing the payment.
The admission for various undergraduate courses started on October 4 against the first cut- off which was released on Oct 1. The university released the second cut-off on Oct 9, and the admission against the second list started on October 11 and closed on October 14. Students who have taken admission against the first and second cut-off list and wish to change courses and colleges can change their choices and take admission against the third cut-off list.

The university will now release the third cut-off list on October 16, and the admission against the third list will begin at 10 am on October 18, and the admission window will remain open until October 21, 11.59 pm. The colleges will complete the approval against the third cut-off list on October 22 by 5.pm and the candidates can make the payment till October 23. The payment has to be made before 5 in the evening against the third cut-off list.

Select DU colleges will announce the special cut-off list if there are any seats left after the completion of admission process under the third cut off list. Most of the top colleges of DU had closed admission to many top courses.
Hindu College closed admission to many of its BA Hons courses. The admissions to BA Political Science (Honours), BA History (Honours), BA Hindi (Honours), BA programme, BA Philosophy (Honours), etc and all the science courses were already closed after the first Hindu College cut-off list 2021 while few seats in programmes like BA (Honours) Economics and BCom (Honours) were left for the students under second cut-off list. Miranda House also closed admission to its BA(Hons) political science and did not release the second cut-off for the subject.
