Delhi University opens admission under CES for July-December 2025 session; classes from August 1
The Delhi University through its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) provides an opportunity for learners of any age group to study alongside the regular students of existing courses.

Download NowThe Delhi University is inviting applications for admission under its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) for the academic year 2025-26. Eligible applicants can apply for the studying papers offered by various departments and colleges in semester 1, 3 and 5 under CES through the official website at ces.du.ac.in.
The university commenced the application process for admission under CES for the July-December 2025 session on July 24. Applicants will be able to apply for the papers till July 29.
Admission through CES will begin from today and the classes will begin from August 1, 2025, as per the official notification.
No age bar for CES Admissions 2025
The CES, backed by the DU, provides an opportunity for learners of any age group to study along with the regular students of existing courses. The scheme is designed for those who could not get admission and to upgrade academic, professional skills using the latest technology, knowledge, and innovations.
As per the selection criteria, applicants will be enrolled for any paper on the basis of availability of seats in the respective departments and colleges. “The seats under CES in a course shall be treated as supernumerary,” the official notification reads.
The Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) initiative is aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2025, providing unique opportunity for all age group individuals to improve their knowledge by enrolling in courses with regular students at various departments and colleges of the Delhi University.
